ASSEMBLY: Women at Work: Then and Now 1916-2018

Residency researching women who worked in Electronics Manufacturing Industry in Enfield, London, from conscription in 1916.

I made my own ‘electronic products’, learnt how to weld, taught electronic workshops for women and held an exhibition of work.

Funded by Heritage Lottery.

FIRE: Flashes to Ashes in British Art, 1692 – 2019

From JMW Turner to Turner Prize winners.

An exhibition I co-curated that spanned nearly 400 years of art, on theme of fire, at Royal West of England Academy in Bristol.

Exhibiting contemporary artists such as Cornelia Parker and Jeremy Deller alongside historic greats such as William Blake and JMW Turner.

An art/science project researching air pollution with families who live in close proximity to the Westway, A40 in London, inspired by a 17th century book.

SMUTTY ATOMS

An installation and live event at Royal West of England Academy, Bristol as part of Fire: Flashes To Ashes exhibition. 

Air Pollution data was harvested from the outside the RWA and transformed into noise, played through a giant suspended ‘organ’ made of exhaust pipes.

I  held workshops for children where we imagined dastardly solutions for the problem of Air Pollution – there were some great ones!
